What kind of content works best for AI answers?
Short answer
Pages that put one customer question at the center, give a direct answer in the first 100 words, back that answer with verifiable facts, and name a visible reviewer get cited most often.
One question per page
Build pages around exactly one customer question, written the way someone would type it into an AI chat. Combining topics on one page makes it hard to cite, because the AI cannot tell which part belongs to which question.
The title and the first H2 should mirror that question in the same language the audience uses.
Direct answer up top
Give a clear two to three sentence answer in the first paragraph, no later than the first 100 words. Only then add nuance, context, and exceptions.
AI systems happily copy that first paragraph as their summary. If it is already strong, your core message ends up in the AI answer.
Visible evidence and review
Cite numbers with source and year, quote reports verbatim with attribution, and mention at the bottom who reviewed the text and when.
Avoid 'we are the best' language, unbacked superlatives, and promises you cannot demonstrate. Those get ignored or used against you in comparisons.
